Sometimes, you need a small change…
I will start by saying that I’m not a boring person; change is in my nature. Many times, I start in one direction and do an about-face or wait a few years until I can honestly figure out what I want to do in a space. This is the about-face time…
Nothing wrong here, right?
Except there was something wrong here; I just wasn’t happy with the design, layout, or color. When we moved in four years ago, I literally just threw this together because I needed someplace to hang coats when we came in from the farm. I was tired of jackets everywhere.
Do you see this space here, too? It was just an empty wall next to our bedroom that had no purpose until I gave it one.
Much better, right? Except for those baseboards, they still need a good painting, but that’s for another time.
And this space? It now has a purpose…to hang all the hubby’s coats and hats and great when he comes in from outside. They’re also easy to grab when he’s got to run out and feed the cows on those cold mornings.
It was a little of this and a little of that and bing, bang, boom it came together.
I think one of my favorite pieces on the hubby’s wall makeover is the hooks. He told me what he wanted and I found them on Amazon. Yup, they looked like railroad spikes, and he was thrilled. I am too.
